At 20 weeks and 3 days

Michelle Ruge finally talked me into taking some pictures of me at 20 weeks and 3 days. We just got back from the pool so I am not all dolled up. the one above is a close up. The two below have me in them.

I guess you can kinda tell. So, that is what I look like at 20 weeks.

Last Saturday, was my exact 20 week mark. It was also the first time I felt our little boy kick. Unfortunately, Dave was working and he was not able to experience it. I have felt him kicking now everyday and I get startled everytime. I forget he is in there but, he reminds me that he is still there.

Kaylinn's Visit

Kaylinn (Dave's sister) came to visit us here in Spokane. We had so much fun. We went on a hike in Coeur D'Alene, ID right next to a lake. That made for a gorgeous view. Here are some pictures of the hike. This first one is at the top of the summit. You can kinda tell I have a belly, but I think that I just look fat and can't tell that I am pregnant.

This is a scenic view from the top of the summit. The hike was only 3 miles round trip. Also, it was a very gradual climb.

This is Dave's squirrel friend. I though that it was worth posting because it is a great shot.

David and Kaylinn on the trail.

Lesley and Kaylinn on the trail. Stopping to pose for the picture.I like this nature picture. There were a lot of plants that had the dew-drops.

The next day we went to a park and just walked around. We forgot our camera that day but, we still had a good time. Friday, before Kaylinn's departure, we went to the temple and just walked around. After, we went to lunch at Kaylinn's most favorite place Chili's. This is a picture of the Spokane temple. It is hard to get a full view because the grounds are small.

This bumble bee sat on my lap. We were sitting down on a bench at the temple. I look down and he is on my LAP, just sitting there. I thought that I was going to die. I freaked out only a little, because he is HUGE. Dave shewed him off me and then followed him to take a picture.

Even though Dave worked the whole time that Kaylinn was here, we still enjoyed her company. Especially me. I would have been all alone til 1 am Wednesday and Thursday. The office was crazy busy those two days. Friday and Saturday were incredibly slow. Go figure.

Thanks Kaylinn for coming to visit.

I graduated

I finally graduated from Ivory 104. For my whole entire life I have been the lightest shade of foundation. In Mary Kay shades it is Ivory 104. Happy to say I have been working on my tan and I am now a shade darker. Ivory 204 hurray. And I would post a picture but I keep forgetting to bring the camera to work. Next time I promise.

Oh I forgot

I forgot to say that I was so excited for the results of whether we are having a boy or girl that I could not sleep at all last night. Seriously, I was up all night just laying in bed tossing and turning, watching the time go by. Now, I am exhausted. I think that I will be able to sleep now knowing the verdict.

The Verdict

According to the poll 11 people voted that we are having a girl, while only 3 people voted boy. The ultrasound was today and we found out that the baby is doing great. Very healthy and active, we got to see the arms, hands, legs, feet, kidneys and bladder, heart, brain, spinal cord, stomach, and the bones that are in the arms and legs (the humerus, radial, ulnar, femur, tibia, and fibula). The baby would not let us see the face because the baby's hands kept blocking the view. But that is OK we got a good profile picture. When it came to determining the sex there was no mistaking the baby's legs were spread way apart. Look out ladies we are bringing a baby boy into this world. We are so excited and Dave is so proud. Now we can start buying things, hurray.

Homemade BBQ

We had a BBQ this past Sunday. We had so much fun making them our own and spending time together. It was amazing. And can I just say I love hamburgers made at home, they are just the way I like 'em. This picture is Dave grilling them. They are almost done. Check out Dave's. First we have the pattie, then the BBQ sauce, cheese, lettuce, bacon, tomato, onion, and avocado, few. Now that is what I call a hamburger.
Mine was not piled that high I could at least fit it in my mouth.

Unlike Dave in this picture.
Maybe because my cheese was melted or I smashed mine down. I don't know. But, I did have all those ingredients minus BBQ sauce and add pickles.
We had a good time. And it is so nice here in Spokane that we can actually enjoy the outdoors during the summer. That is if there are not people around us smoking. We decided not to stay out there long because everyone was smoking.

I am so glad that I live in the United States. This country is, no doubt, founded by the hands of God. I hope everyone has a wonderful time enjoying BBQs, fireworks, and all the other activities. Maybe later I will take some picture of me pregnant, celebrating the Fourth. I am not showing that much. When I wear clothes you can hardly tell that I am pregnant.

So yesterday, I went to work with Dave. It was great to get out of the office. I am sick of being cooped up in there. I forwarded the calls to my phone and now I have to pay for the extra minutes that I used. Anyways, I had a great time seeing the sites of Coeur D'Alene, ID. It is a real beautiful area and not too country still some city.

Dave had to install a security system in one lady's home she had two little girls. The lady saw me sitting in the car reading a pregnancy book (I did not mind being in the car, it was not that hot, it was actually hotter in her home) and invited me in. I was just fine sitting in the car but, I did not really want to say no. I accepted her invitation and went inside to sit on her couch. The lady saw me reading and said, that once I meet her two girls I would not want to have kids. She was right her two little girl were very obnoxious. I believe that it is all in the parenting the way your children behave. I could see that in this case. I really hope that I can parent our children so they are not unruly.
