I always thought it was weird how parents taught their children animal sounds. I was going to skip this ability for our children. But, one day it just sort of happened. Carter picked up on the animals sounds really fast and before I knew it he was speaking animal. The sheep is my favorite so I recorded it. He can so cat, dog, bear, sheep, horse and pig. Funny thing about the horse, I am not the greatest horse imitator. I actually hate to do the horse sound. Carter started doing the pig sound for the horse and I did not correct him. So for weeks he thought the horse sounded like a pig. I broke down and taught him the "correct" sound for horse it has taken him awhile to switch but I think he almost has it down.
So much for not teaching animal sounds.

How cute! Andria started whistling when she that age it was by accident. She just started putting her lips together and blowing in and out - she got so much attention she would do it on command.,
haha i do feel somewhat responsible for him learning the sounds. we were reading the brown bear what do you see book, and i started doing the sounds. you're right. he picked them up really fast.
